The microphone

Sofa Looper uses the microphone for one purpose: to listen for your trigger note and to record your loops. All audio is processed entirely on your device, in real time. It is never uploaded, transmitted, or shared.

Recordings exist only as the loops you are actively playing, plus any loops you deliberately save as Favorites. Those are written to the app’s private storage on your device and go nowhere else.

What we collect

Nothing. Sofa Looper does not collect, store off-device, or transmit any personal information. It contains no analytics or advertising SDKs and makes no network requests of any kind.

This is verifiable in the app’s privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy): tracking is disabled and no data types are declared as collected.

What we share

Nothing. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to share — with us, with Apple, or with anyone else.

What is stored on your device

• Favorites — the loops you choose to save, written to the app’s private Application Support directory.
• Preferences — your selected skin and settings, kept in standard on-device app preferences.

Deleting the app removes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.

“Report a problem”

If you tap Report a problem in Settings, the app prepares a diagnostic log — audio events, device route names, permission status, and no audio content — and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Nothing is sent automatically. You choose whether to share it, and where.

Children’s privacy

Sofa Looper collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version is posted on this page with a new “last updated” date.
